NEW DENIZ TEK 7in SINGLE OUT NOW : CROSSROADS b/w OH WELL (Career Records)
I've released an early track from my recent album sessions called "Crossroads" (very unlike the Robert Johnson song). The B side is a live-in-the-studio version of the 1969 Peter Green / Fleetwood Mac tune "Oh Well" which I've featured in my live set over the past couple of years. Players on the record are Ric Parnell, drums; Bob Brown; bass, and myself on vocals and guitar. The release features striking sleeve photography and graphics by Anne Laurent, and unique purple vinyl!
NOVEMBER 2015 :
NEW DENIZ TEK ALBUM IN THE WORKS
Deniz started working on the follow-up to "Detroit" two years ago. Plans were shelved temporarily due to the demands of the Radio Birdman reformation. Deniz and producer Bob Brown are happy to report that tracking is now complete. The album was recorded in Montana at GLEA Studio in Bozeman, under the guiding hand of Ron Sanchez; and at Bob Brown's "Ship's In" Studio in Billings. The core studio band is unchanged, with Ric Parnell on drums and Bob Brown on bass. Deniz once again handled all guitar parts and vocals, with special guest performers coming in on keyboards and horns. Mixing sessions with Rob Younger in charge will commence next week in Sydney. Release is planned for March 2016 with touring to follow.
